|I purchased a mobile P4 that was shipped on time, well packed, and exactly as described. Ziv and I had a transaction five months ago that worked out in the end but had some bumps. Ziv's communication habits are much better now and he has obviously taken complaints from the past to heart.Review Timestamp: 04 Jun 2005 02:08

|Bought a laptop from Michael. He tried very hard to avoid communication problems. (Was very communicative on AIM.) Shipped very quickly, exactly when he said he would, sent tracking number right away too, and I mailed the money shortly after the tracking number went live. Laptop was packed well. Overall very satisfied with the deal. Review Timestamp: 16 May 2005 07:39

|I purchased what was supposed to be a p4m 1.4ghz chip. What I recieved 2 weeks later was a Celeron 1.333ghz with bent pins. Communication was close to non-existant during those two weeks, and it was obvious that emails and instant messages were being ignored. Only until other complaints began popping up from other people(which involved similar problems such as non-communication and misadvertised items) did Superdave attempt to resolve things. I was finally able to get my money back, and return the misadvertised, damaged chip. If my attemps at communications werent completely ignored I'm sure this would have ended much better. Request a ship first if you do deal with him.Review Timestamp: 31 Jan 2005 22:15

|ZivilynBane1 committed to purchase a HD I had listed, and stated he was sending payment. Many days passed, my Emails and Posts were ignored, he continued to conduct other deals, and ultimately payment was never sent. I would not be leaving bad beer if he had merely contacted me to ask out of the deal.Review Timestamp: 14 Jan 2005 18:02

|To entirely describe thjis transaction is probably not practical or wise, and for some of the initial problems I have to take responsibility. I called dibs on a 120 gig hard drive Zivilyn was selling, and then somewhat overzealously paypaled the agreed cost to the email address that it showed (and still does as I type this) here in Beerology, after verifying that there was a paypal account for that e-mail address. It turns out to have been an out of use e-mail, and Ziviliyn had trouble getting access to the money. I coulnd't easily cancel the transaction on my side, so after offering to contact paypal myself, Zivilyn said he'd handle it. He also said, to my annoyance, that he hadn't been ready to sell the hard drive, and needed to use the funds to buy a 200 gig hard drive first, receive that, and then transfer the data to that before sending it out. This was the first real strike against him in my book, aside from having out of date beer e-mail. Cut to 2 months later, mid february, and I still hadn't received it. I e-mailed him, heard back that he was sorry he'd forgotten quickly, and then 2 weeks later I still hadn't received or heard from him again. I e-mailed him again, and when I hadn't heard from him a week later I e-mailed superdave. After that I heard back from him, whether because of dave I don't know, and had a number more false starts and delays but he told me he shipped it in late feb or early march. There were some questions about whether he shipped it to the right address, one or two more brief e-mails, and it finally arrived today, somewhat poorly packaged, but looking undamaged. I haven't tested it yet, but this is just a warning. I know Zivilyn's pretty established on Agora, and I'm sure he's a great guy, but this one experience was the worst I've ever had on Agora, and I hope and trust it's a low point for him that won't be repeated, but I felt obligated to report what happened as accurately as I could... |Bought a mobile XP cpu from ZivilynBane. This deal was pretty slow, but he did get me the chip and its working as expected. When part of the merchandise (a hsf) turned up faulty he decided not to send it, but sent a cash refund instead for that part of the deal--even sent a little extra back for the delay I think.Review Timestamp: 19 Nov 2004 21:32

|i like the below user, was debating for a long time wether to post this review.please forgive the tardiness. I bought a brand new still in the shrinkwrap ATI 9600 XT. he said he wanted to open the box to check for a HL2 coupon, i of course said ok. sent the money order on 3/9/04. didn't hear back from from him until 3/24/04 apparently due to spring break or due to my emails stating i was thinking of going to the Agora mods with this lack of communication. so I finally get the card on 4/1/01. and just about all there was. a card in static bag, that looked like no bag i have ever gotten a retail ATI card in: ie not sealed, the manual and driver disc. a little empty for a just opened to look for HL2 coupon box. so i let it go at that just plain happy to have the card, but i guess that isn't right. i can understand shipping problems out of your control, but knowing you have a deal going down and money on the way to you, do you just leave for two weeks with no word? i had just bought a proc and ram from him, so i didn't hesitate to buy this card. i guess maybe i should have.Review Timestamp: 26 Apr 2004 22:31

|Looks like this individual is standing on the knife's edge of being and out-and-out troll. It was only with threats from the community (after SuperDave proved himself impotent in performing his moderating duties), that I finally received a refund of my money almost two weeks later (and that may have also just been b/c Paypal put a hold on his account due to the complaint I filed). I originally contacted Zivilyn about purchasing a Ti4200 video card he had listed for $40 shipped. After agreeing to purchase and making payment via Paypal, Zivilyn contacted me demanding an additional $5 to cover shipping. After reminding him that the original price was $40 shipped, he edited his post to include the fee after the fact, and reiterated his demand. I asked for a refund of my $40, as I found the notion of someone demanding additional money after a deal had been made revolting, and beyond the realms of good practice when it comes to the B-S-T community. Zivilyn refused to refund my money...several times over. He then resorted to all sorts of profane emails and name-calling. I posted that I was having a problem with getting my money back in his thread, hoping to inform others to be careful when dealing with him. I certainly wasn't looking for any thanks, but I also wasn't expecting the sort of response I received from SuperDave. I don't want to turn this into a total bitchfest, but if Agora was being properly moderated, then myself and the other traders who've had bad run ins with Ziv likely would have never been in this situation in the first instance. If it isn't clear from the above, AVOID THIS TRADER AT ALL (READ: YOUR) COSTS! Oh, and I will be petitioning to have the bullshit, retaliatory feedback removed from my Beerology profile. If it isn't removed, fuck it...I don't plan on coming back until there's substantial changes in how the board is handled anyways. Best of luck to the rest of you.Review Timestamp: 01 Apr 2005 09:06

|COntact via email is not the best method to contact Mike. I think it may be becasue he has 58,000 email addresses. Getting him on AIM is much easier. Remember this.
Took a long time to get this deal done, but the P4 arrived as promised. When paypalling someone nearly 200 dollars, I don’t expect to wait 2+ weeks and have difficulty corresponding. I feel like I must say that. Nevertheless, Mike is a nice guy and I am very happy with the hardware I received although it was minus the 25$ money order he had said he would include for my troubles.Review Timestamp: 23 Jan 2003 12:22

|Sold Z Operation Flashpoint. Shipped the game out around 3 days after all deals were finalized in my games for sale thread. Game went out on a Wednesday and arrived the following Friday or Monday. Shipping on his end wasn’t as quick as I would have liked. I received the check a little over a week after he received the game. Other people who I dealt with in my thread got their money in my hand many many days earlier and actually lived farther away than Ziv. It would have been nice to have gotten the money as quickly as he got the game. He does after live in a neighboring state, so shipping should have been quicker by default.
His email communication was a mixed bag. He emailed me at around 1-2 in the morning Eastern time complaining that I forgot to send him the registration key for the game. I then ripped my computer room apart while half asleep as I was about to go to bed when I got his email. Then I sent him the portion of the Opflash FAQ that said the key was printed in the manual. After I sent him this info and asked him to respond immediately and tell me if the FAQ had helped him find the key I didn’t hear back from him for a day or two. Didn’t even get a thank you for spending 45 minutes of my time at such an ungodly hour to make sure he was happy and could play the game. The check went out 2-3 days after this.
Despite my venting here (mostly because of the 2 in the morning email) he is an honest and a fair dealer. I would deal with again, but personally would request payment up front just so I wouldn’t have to wait as long. He is most definately worth your time to deal with, just keep in close touch and provide him motivation.

|Mike is a very prompt communicator. I wish the same could be said for his shipping techniques...
He purchased my GF3 at a very nice price and was in a rush to get it. I agreed to ship USPS PM as soon as I got indication that he had sent the MO we agreed on.
In a nutshell, he got the card in 2 days and I waited a week for the MO to arrive via certified mail. Everything was good, but he could’ve paid a little extra to get me the MO in a same time frame that he requested the merchandise.
